Utilities                                           

Utility Billing                                                                 Direct Payment:  Automatic payment of city utility bills is available to draw automatically each month from your designated savings or checking account.  To sign up, print & fill out the Direct Payment Authorization Form and send or bring it to the City Office along with a voided check or savings deposit slip.

Garbage                                                                           Commercial garbage service is on Monday and Thursday mornings.  Residential garbage service is on Thursday mornings after 8:00 a.m. Please be sure to have your garbage out by that time.  Remember to pull your refuse cans/containers/drums off the street or front yard by Thursday evening.

The City of Badger is provided a recycling bin through KaMaR Recycling.  Please use these bins only for the labeled recyclables on the bin.

Sewer
Sewer fees are based on water usage from the monthly water meter reading.  The minimum monthly fee is $15.00, with each additional 1,000 gallons of water usage costing $1.00. 
Water
Water fees are $15.00 per month for the initial 2,000 gallons used, and $1.00 for every 1,000 gallons used thereafter.  The minimum monthly water charge is $15.00.

One time per year, the Safe Drinking Water Act Fee is added to the utility billing.  This is a state mandated fee and it currently is $6.36.  This charge was applied on the April 30th, 2009 billing cycle.

One water meter is installed on each property.  It is illegal to tamper with water meters as they are City property.  If additional or replacement meters are needed due to damage by negligence or intent of the property owner, the water will be shut off and no service will be given until the cost of replacing the damaged meter is paid in full.
