Ordinance No. 44

 

An Ordinance Fixing Compensation for Mayor and Councilmen for the City of Badger, Minnesota

 

The City Council of the City of Badger, Minnesota, Does Ordain:

 

            Section 1.  The annual salary of the Mayor of Badger shall be $300.00 and the annual salary of each member of the Council shall be $180.00, and the Mayor and members of the Council shall each receive additionally the sum of $15.00 for each special meeting attended.

 

            Section 2.  In addition to the compensation provided for in Section 1, the Mayor and Council shall be paid per diem in amount not to exceed the sum of $15.00 for attendance at all out-of-city meetings, the attendance at which is required by law and/or is authorized by the council.

 

            Section 3.  The Mayor and Councilmen shall be reimbursed for documented travel expenses and expenses incurred in attending out-of-city meetings required by law and authorized by the Council.

 

            Section 4.  Any future change in Section 1 and Section 2 shall be set by resolution prior to municipal election.

 

            Section 5.  This ordinance shall become effective on January 1, 1979.

 

Adopted by the Council of the City of Badger, Minnesota this 10th day of May, 1978.
